While flying the ship (moving or standing still) if you use tilde/grave to lock the controls and then move the cursor off the center at all. Then unlock the controls. Your ship starts to turn. This feels disorienting as sometimes I just want to interact with a HUD element and then get right back to flying. As the controls are now I have to consciously recenter my mouse cursor before unlocking the controls to avoid moving off my desired course.
